Virat Kohli Drops Rare Catch For RCB vs SRH, Anushka Sharma Reacts. Watch
Virat Kohli, apart from being a great batter, is also a terrific fielder. However, in the Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Sunrisers Hyderabad IPL 2026 opener, Kohli dropped an easy catch. The incident occurred in the 18th over bowled by Bhuvneshwar Kumar. SRH's Aniket Verma miscued a shot on the third ball as Kohli came running in from long-on. The ball brushed his palms before landing on his thigh. Kohli looked surprised by the miss. In the stands, actor Anushka Sharma, Kohli's wife, could not help but laugh.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on Saturday honoured fans who lost their lives in the 2025 stampede by reserving 11 seats at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru ahead of their first Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
Notably, these seats will remain permanently unoccupied during all IPL and international matches.
Ahead of the IPL 2026 opener, players from both RCB and SRH also observed a one-minute silence to pay tribute to the fans who lost their lives in 2025.
For the unversed, 11 fans died and several others were injured in a stampede that occurred outside the stadium during the victory celebrations following RCB's first IPL title win. Cricket at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium had been suspended since June 2025.
During the season opener against the Hyderabad-based franchise, the defending champions RCB also wore black armbands as a mark of respect.
A statement from RCB read: "Royal Challengers Bengaluru will pay tribute to the eleven members of the RCB family who tragically lost their lives in the unfortunate incident on June 4.
"As a mark of respect, players will wear practice jerseys bearing the number 11 during the warm-up, followed by black armbands during the match.
"In a lasting gesture of remembrance, eleven seats at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium will remain unoccupied, serving as a permanent tribute to the fans whose unwavering support will always be a part of the RCB family," the statement concluded.

'Bibi Really Sold It': A Rebuke In Vance-Netanyahu Tense Call Amid Iran War
US Vice President JD Vance had a tense phone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier this week, during which he told the premier off for what he viewed as overly rosy assumptions about the war in Iran, Axios reported.
According to the outlet, Vance pressed Netanyahu on his confidence regarding the likelihood of regime change. One US official told Axios that "Before the war, Bibi really sold it to the president as being easy, as regime change being a lot likelier than it was. And the VP was clear-eyed about some of those statements", referring to Netanyahu by his nickname.
After the call, a US official claimed Israel was actively undermining Vance, who has emerged as a central figure in ceasefire talks with the Islamic Republic. A long-time critic of open-ended foreign interventions, Vance is participating in negotiations alongside US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
The same official alleged that Israel was responsible for reports suggesting Iran preferred negotiating with Vance because he might be more receptive to a deal to end the conflict. "It's an Israeli op against JD," the official told Axios.
Another senior US official told Axios that, in their view, Vance remained the most viable path to a negotiated end to the war. "If the Iranians can't strike a deal with Vance, they don't get a deal. He's the best they're gonna get," the official said.
Vance Treads Iran Tightrope
For a man with his eye on the White House in 2028, US Vice President JD Vance has kept a low profile since the start of the Iran war.
The former US marine, who served in Iraq, built a political brand as a non-interventionist who wanted to keep America out of any more long, foreign wars.
Even Trump admitted they had their differences on "Operation Epic Fury."
"He was, I would say, philosophically a little bit different than me," Trump said on Monday of Vance. "I think he was maybe less enthusiastic about going -- but he was quite enthusiastic."
While he has publicly backed Trump's Iran operation, Vance has only given one television interview since it started, in which he stressed it would not be another American "forever war."
However, Vance earlier this month downplayed the differences and said, "I think one big difference is...we have a smart president whereas in the past, we've had dumb presidents and I trust President Trump to get the job done, to do a good job for the American people, and to make sure that the mistakes of the past are not repeated," said Vance, standing alongside Trump during an Oval Office event.

Trump Shares Pakistan PM's Iran War Mediation Post, Fuels Speculation
US President Donald Trump has triggered intense diplomatic speculation regarding a potential mediating role for Islamabad in the ongoing Washington-Tehran standoff, after he shared an official statement from Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The move follows a post on X by Prime Minister Sharif, in which he expressed Islamabad's eagerness to facilitate a diplomatic resolution to the regional crisis. Sharif stated that Pakistan was "ready and honoured" to moderate "meaningful and conclusive talks" between the United States and Iran, provided there is a mutual agreement from both parties.
Expanding on Islamabad's position, the Prime Minister noted, "Pakistan welcomes and fully supports ongoing efforts to pursue dialogue to end the war in the Middle East, in the interest of peace and stability in the region and beyond." He further clarified that, "Subject to concurrence by the US and Iran, Pakistan stands ready and honoured to be the host to facilitate meaningful and conclusive talks for a comprehensive settlement of the ongoing conflict."
President Trump's decision to share the post on his Truth Social account without further comment has been viewed by observers as a sign of active backchannel diplomacy. This development aligns with international reports suggesting that Pakistan, alongside Egypt and Turkiye, is quietly working to broker a peace deal in the Middle East.
While Islamabad is reportedly being positioned as a potential neutral venue, the White House has maintained a stance of strategic caution. US Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt described the current environment as "sensitive" and "fluid," advising against treating unconfirmed reports as definitive.
"These are sensitive diplomatic discussions, and the US will not negotiate through the press. This is a fluid situation, and speculation about meetings should not be deemed as final until they are formally announced by the White House," Leavitt cautioned. This statement comes amidst unverified claims that Vice President JD Vance and envoy Steve Witkoff could potentially meet Iranian officials on Pakistani soil.
Despite the lack of formal confirmation, indirect communication appears to be intensifying, with Islamabad reportedly serving as a critical conduit for messages. According to reports from CNN, the United States has utilised Pakistani channels to transmit a 15-point list of requirements to Tehran. The network further indicated that high-ranking Pakistani intelligence officials have maintained active communication with US figures, including Jared Kushner and special envoy Steve Witkoff, to facilitate these diplomatic exchanges.
The sudden diplomatic momentum follows President Trump's recent declaration of a five-day pause on planned strikes against Iranian energy infrastructure. Trump attributed the pause to "very good and productive conversations" with Tehran, claiming the US is in contact with a "top person" in Iran. Conversely, Tehran continues to maintain that it has not entered into direct negotiations with Washington since the commencement of the hostilities.

Pilot Shares Emotional In-Flight Moment As Wife And Children Join Him On Board
In a heartwarming moment that has gained attention online, an Indian pilot has shared a personal milestone from his flying career that moved many viewers. The incident was shared through a video posted on social media by Captain Azam Ally, who expressed his emotions during a special in-flight announcement.
Captain Azam Ally shared a video on Instagram in which he made an emotional announcement during a flight, revealing that his wife and children were also on board the very same aircraft. In the video, he is seen addressing the passengers in a calm yet deeply emotional manner. He begins by introducing himself to all the passengers.
In his announcement, he says, "Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. This is your captain from the flight deck. My name is Captain Azam Ally." He then goes on to explain that there are three extremely significant moments in a pilot's life.
He further states that there are "three flights a pilot never forgets." He explains that the first is the solo flight, an experience he recalls from nearly 24 years ago during his time as a fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force. He also notes that the second significant moment is the final flight before retirement-a milestone that, for him, is still about two decades away.
He then reveals that the third moment is the most special of all. He says, "The third and perhaps the most important flight is when you get an opportunity to fly with your family. Today is that day for me. My wife and kids are travelling on this flight." Following these words, the passengers on board the aircraft respond with applause and smiles.
Watch Video Here:
He also shared the video with a caption in which he outlined the three major milestones in a pilot's life.
He wrote, "Three flights that a pilot never forgets
No. 1 - First solo.
No. 2 - Last flight before retiring.
No. 3. - And the one when your loved ones are on board your flight for the first time."
Social Media Reaction
Social media users loved the way pilot introduced his family. One user commented, "Great !!! You all must be feeling very special."
Another user noted, "This is so heartwarming!"

Kuldeep Yadav Marries Vanshika Chaddha In Dreamy Mussoorie Wedding. See Pics
India spinner Kuldeep Yadav tied the knot with his childhood friend, Vanshika Chaddha, on Saturday in the hill station of Mussoorie. The ceremony was attended by several current and former cricketers, including Kuldeep's 2026 T20 World Cup-winning teammates Tilak Varma and Rinku Singh. Social media was flooded with pictures and videos from the couple's festivities, following their private engagement last year. In one viral clip, Kuldeep and Vanshika are seen walking hand-in-hand as pyrotechnics lit up the background.

Photos and videos circulating on social media have offered glimpses of the colorful Sangeet ceremony held on Friday evening. In images shared by cricketing icons Suresh Raina and Yuzvendra Chahal, the bride and groom were seen in coordinated traditional outfits that quickly went viral online.
Tilak, who reached Mussoorie on Saturday, earlier said that he will enjoy the wedding before getting into the preparation for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, where he will represent the five-time champions Mumbai Indians.
"We're going to Kuldeep's wedding to have fun. After that, we'll prepare for IPL," Tilak told IANS.
Media reports suggest that Kuldeep postponed the wedding, originally scheduled for November 2025, to focus on helping India clinch the T20 World Cup 2026. The couple, who both hail from Kanpur and grew up just 3 km apart, got engaged last year at a hotel in Lucknow. Vanshika currently works as an LIC employee.
Despite the team's success, Kuldeep featured just once during the T20 World Cup, returning tidy figures of 1/14 against arch-rivals Pakistan in the group stage. Meanwhile, the spinner's father, Ram Singh Yadav, visited Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath last week to personally extend a wedding invitation.

Kirsten's Big Verdict On Gambhir's Anti-Superstar Stand Amid T20 WC Win
Gautam Gambhir is a straight-talker. That is one aspect of the T20 World Cup-winning star - first as a player and now as a coach - that none can deny. And yet again, after India's third T20 World Cup win, Gambhir was unabashed about what he wanted from the side. Gambhir spoke about being "misunderstood" as a player and coach, saying that if he is to be made a "villain" for advocating that the team is above the individual, he is okay with the tag, and that "one day, his honesty will defend him."
In an interview with ANI, Gambhir said that while "the media wants to create superstars, his job is to create a super team." "That is a simple difference and that difference will always remain. The media wants to create superstars, but my job as a head coach is to create a super team. And that is the only way I look at my profession because my job is to be absolutely fair, even, and treat everyone exactly equally, because those 15 people in that dressing room are absolutely equal to me," he said.
"I do not look at the amount of runs they have scored. I do not look at the amount of social media following they have. I do not look at what TRP they bring to the people or to the broadcaster. I only look at what they bring to the team and what they bring to the country. And that is why I feel that my job is to create a super team. And hopefully, till I finish my tenure, I will be able to create a super team," Gambhir said.
Gary Kirsten, India's 2011 World Cup-winning coach, has fully supported Gambhir's stand.
"I think it [superstar culture] has changed significantly in India over the last 15-odd years and I think he [Gambhir] is absolutely spot on," Kirsten said on Wisden Cricket's The Scoop on YouTube.
"I think that India was driven largely around that superstardom status of each individual and there was a massive commercial entity to that as well.
"But I think the IPL has definitely brought in a different dynamic there and I couldn't agree with you more. There are just so many good Indian players around now. I mean, you could literally pick three teams. When I was with the Namibians [as a consultant for the T20 World Cup], we were down at the Centre of Excellence in Bangalore, and it's the most impressive cricket facility I've ever seen anywhere."

Gurugram Techie Reveals Rs 89,500 Monthly Expense Breakdown, Internet Reacts
The internet is filled with videos of professionals sharing details about their salaries, monthly expenses, and savings. Such posts often go viral because they offer a rare glimpse into the financial lives of working individuals. From tech employees and consultants to freelancers and entrepreneurs, many people are increasingly opening up about how much they earn and how they manage their money. These videos spark curiosity among viewers and trigger discussions about the cost of living, personal finance, and whether certain salaries are enough to sustain a comfortable life in major cities.
Recently, a software engineer and digital creator garnered attention after sharing a detailed breakdown of her Rs 89,500 monthly expenses while living in Gurugram. Her monthly budget is heavily weighted toward financial future-proofing, with the majority of her income going toward investments rather than daily living costs.
The video begins with Nikkita Yadav introducing the topic and explaining that she will walk viewers through her monthly spending while living in Gurugram, often called India's Millennium City. She lists her key expenses, including Rs 16,000 for rent and electricity, Rs 3,000 for groceries, and around Rs 1,500 for transportation. She also sets aside Rs 5,000 for skincare and shopping, along with Rs 4,000 for leisure activities such as watching movies and dining out.
The largest share of her income, however, goes toward financial commitments and investments, which together amount to Rs 60,000. She spends that amount on EMIs and systematic investment plans (SIPs). With these commitments included, her total monthly expenditure comes to about Rs 89,500, offering viewers insight into the spending and saving habits of a young professional working in the tech industry.
This breakdown has sparked online discussion, particularly as it contrasts with other recent viral posts from techies whose "regular" lifestyle expenses often exceed Rs 1.4 lakh due to higher rent and frequent socialising.
One person was surprised by her low travel costs and asked how her spending on transportation was so minimal, noting that services like Uber and Ola are usually the main options for commuting. In reply, Yadav explained that her office provides a cab service, which she uses for most of her work travel. She also mentioned that she only has to go to the office about 10 days a month, so most of her transport spending happens during outings outside work.
Another viewer congratulated her on her progress and asked about her cost-to-company (CTC) and work experience. Yadav said she could not publicly reveal her exact salary but shared that it is more than Rs 15 lakh per annum, with 2.9 years of work experience.

Tomcats Down? Israel Strikes Iran's Prized American-Made Fighter Jets
The Israeli Air Force said on Sunday that it carried out strikes on facilities housing Iran's F-14 Tomcat fighter jets at an airport in Isfahan.
"In a wide-scale Air Force strike directed by Military Intelligence, facilities storing F-14 fighter jets belonging to the Iranian terror regime were attacked yesterday at the airport in Isfahan," the Israeli army said in a statement.
The operation followed earlier strikes targeting Iranian aircraft in Tehran.
"This attack joins the destruction of 16 aircraft used by the 'Quds Force' unit at the 'Mehrabad' airport in Tehran on the previous day, as part of efforts to deepen the Air Force's air superiority in Iranian skies," the statement added.
"The IDF will continue to deepen the damage to all of the Iranian terrorist regime's assets and expand air superiority throughout Iran," the military added.
Israeli forces had already targeted Iranian aircraft a day earlier at Mehrabad Airport in Tehran.
The military said 16 aircraft linked to the Quds Force unit were destroyed as part of a campaign to gain "aerial dominance" over Iran.
Previously, in 2025, Israel released footage showing two F-14A Tomcat jets being struck by air-to-ground munitions while parked outside reinforced aircraft shelters at Mehrabad.
Iran's American Tomcats
The F-14 Tomcat is a Cold War-era fighter aircraft built in the United States. Iran received 79 of the aircraft in 1976 when the country was still ruled by the Shah. After the 1979 Isla
The F-14 became famous after appearing in the 1986 film Top Gun, but the aircraft was gradually phased out of service by the US Navy. In 2006, the United States retired the fighter jet and replaced it with the F-18.
Iran, however, continued flying the aircraft long after they disappeared from Western militaries. Today, the Islamic Republic remains the only country still operating the twin-engine fighter. However, it is unclear how many of those jets remain airworthy.

'No Deal With Iran Except Unconditional Surrender': Trump
US President Donald Trump on Friday demanded Iran's "unconditional surrender" as the only acceptable outcome to end hostilities, while promising to help rebuild the country's economy if Tehran complied and installed new leadership.
"There will be no deal with Iran except UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER," Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.
The post came as Israel bombarded regime targets in Tehran and Hezbollah positions in Beirut, and Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said US strikes against Iran were "about to surge dramatically."
Trump said that following any capitulation by the Islamic Republic, the United States and its allies would work to bring Iran "back from the brink of destruction, making it economically bigger, better, and stronger than ever before."
This would be contingent on the installation of what he called "a GREAT & ACCEPTABLE Leader(s)."
He closed with a new slogan — "MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN (MIGA!)" — a riff on his "Make America Great Again" political brand.

Mohammad Amir Predicts India's Defeat Against England. Gives Big Reason
Former Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir did not hesitate to make another bold prediction about India's T20 World Cup campaign, despite seeing his earlier semi-final calls fall flat. Amir, who had backed West Indies to beat India in the Super 8 match, has now given England the upper hand against Suryakumar Yadav's men in the semi-final on Thursday. Sharing his analysis of India's performances so far, Amir feels the team has not been able to deliver as a unit. Hence, he believes England are likely to get the better of them in the semi-final.
The two teams will face off at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, a venue expected to produce a high-scoring contest. Amir feels England will have a greater chance of winning if they bat second.
"It's a match on a good wicket. Like Rashid Bhai said, if England bat second, there will be more chances. Because it's a high-scoring game in Mumbai," the former Pakistan pacer said on the Haarna Mana Hai show.
Mohammad Amir said, "India are relying on just one or two players. Most of their batting is out of form. Right now, only a one or two players are carrying the team. When you depend on one or two players, you can't dominate, that's why England are favourites against India." pic.twitter.com/obJEjPWYAq
— Salman. (@TsMeSalman) March 5, 2026
With the likes of Ishan Kishan and Sanju Samson performing only in isolated instances, Amir does not feel the Indian team is ready to sail into the final yet. The form of Abhishek Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav is also a concern for the veteran left-arm pacer.
"But if you talk about India, only one or two of their batters are performing. That batter often takes it all the way, but only one or two are able to perform. If you look at their overall batting, it is not in form.
"Ishan Kishan only performed against us. Abhishek Sharma is out of form. Tilak Verma did not make an impact. Suryakumar Yadav has done nothing since he came into the Super 8s. Sanju has done it. Bumrah is doing it," he said.
"You cannot be sure that this team will dominate. I think England will be the favourites," Amir concluded.
